We spent four days in Wengen on our last Switzerland trip and found some of the best scenery we’ve ever seen. It’s also a very tranquil town, so that may be good or bad depending on what you’re looking for.

Wengen is a very small, and quiet town. There’s no cars in this village, the only way to get there is via train.

Take a Cable Car Ride

One of the best ways to see the Bernese Oberland is to take a cable car ride. For an unforgettable experience, take a modern cable car up to Mannlichen from downtown Wengen. Take a Train Ride to Kleine Scheidegg, then Junfraujoch

One of the most scenic train rides you’ll find is the one that takes you from Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg. This 50-minute journey takes you through the Lauterbrunnen Valley and up to the foot of the Jungfrau, the highest mountain in the Swiss Alps.

After arriving at Kleine Scheidegg, continue the journey up to the top of Jungraujoch for an unforgettable day trip.
