Switzerland is one of our favorite countries for a family vacation, and not just because of the stunning views and clean, well-run cities. It’s a destination that offers something spectacular for everyone in the family, whether you're into hiking, exploring charming villages, or taking scenic train rides. With that in mind, we’re super excited to showcase this fantastic video from Ryan Shirley, where he shares his top 25 favorite places to visit in Switzerland. The video begins with Grindelwald, an enchanting village that Ryan finds himself returning to every time he visits Switzerland. Imagine Swiss chalets, green pastures, and mountains everywhere you look—sounds like the perfect place for family photos, right? There's even a thrilling First Cliff Walk and lakeside bike rides that kids will absolutely love.

Then, Ryan heads over to Harder Kulm, accessible by a steep funicular ride that costs about $35. Once at the top, there's a restaurant and an incredible viewing area perfect for family picnics. Ryan suggests going during sunset for the most magical photo opportunities.

We love how versatile Zurich is for families; within a short drive, you can find places for adventure like Limmernsee. This turquoise lake surrounded by mountains is accessed by cable car and a 3 km tunnel, providing an exciting trip for the whole family.

Zurich is followed by a trip to Chäserrugg, a mountain peak also known as a ski resort in winter. To get there, you'll ride a series of funiculars and chair lifts. The view from the top is worth the trip, with tooth-like peaks and a cozy lodge for a bite to eat.

Lastly, Ryan takes us to the charming medieval town of Gruyères, known for its famous Gruyère cheese. The town and its 13th-century castle backdrop make for a delightful family day trip.

And of course, the video doesn’t miss out on the magical village of Lauterbrunnen, which inspired J.R.R. Tolkien's Rivendell. With over 72 waterfalls, this village is like stepping into a storybook, making it ideal for a family adventure.
