4 Live Webcams In the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Plus Two Trail Cameras
Wondering what it looks like right now inside the most visited national park? Here are four live views, plus two daily trail cameras.
National Park Live Cameras
Newfound Gap
Newfound Gap’s webcam is the best one to look for snow, as it’s the highest elevation National Park Service webcam that’s operating year round. Clingmans Dome (below) is a bit higher in elevation, but not operating in the winter.
Clingmans Dome
Clingmans Dome webcam (operated only between April and November). Clingmans Dome is the highest point in the National Park, and one of the best scenic drives. The road to Clingsman Dome is closed during the winter.
Look Rock
Look Rock webcam is a lookout tower in the far western part of the national park. It’s a lesser known location along the Foothills Parkway, which lets you easily view downtown Knoxville on a clear day.
Purchase Knob
Purchase Knob’s webcam is in the furthest eastern part of the National Park
PhenoCams
PhenoCams are designed to provide daily images of foilage and vegetation, so they’re not live views. But they’re high quality and give you a good idea of what to expect for the landscape’s appearance. ‘
