Starting with their journey, they flew from Dublin, marking their 40th country during their year-long trip around the world! Their 10-day adventure is split into 8 days covering the Ring Road and two additional days in Iceland's cozy capital, Reykjavik.

Day 1:

  • Their adventure began with picking up a rental Jeep equipped with a pop-up tent, which cost them $794 plus $1095 for camping gear. This setup gave them the flexibility to change plans without booking additional stays.
  • They drove past Reykjavik to a campsite, setting them up for a smooth start the next day.

Day 2:

  • Their first stop was Hrunalaug, a natural hot spring, costing $17 per person. It's a blissful escape into nature.
  • They continued to the Golden Circle and Gulfoss, Iceland's largest waterfall.
  • For lunch, they stopped at FriĆ°heimar, a family-run greenhouse that uses geothermal energy to grow tomatoes. They enjoyed an all-you-can-eat tomato soup bar for $25 per person.
